On September 29, 2024, Bakelite LLC (Petitioner or Bakekite) filed an application with the US Department of Commerce and the US International Trade Commission to impose anti-dumping duties on hexamine products originating from China, Germany, India, and Saudi Arabia, as well as to impose countervailing duties on products from China and India. At present, the preliminary investigation is mainly conducted by the US International Trade Commission (ITC). If the ITC votes to determine that the harm is serious, it will be transferred to the Department of Commerce for further investigation. The ITC ruling will be made on November 13, 2024, and 10 affected companies in China have received relevant investigation documents.
