    Caustic Soda  is one of the most widely used chemicals in the industry. Caustic soda is a solution of Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) in water. It is a strong base with a wide range of applications in different industries. We produce caustic soda together with chlorine and hydrogen from the electrolysis of salt brine.
     
     

  • Q Is caustic soda the same as baking soda?

    A Caustic soda is another name for sodium hydroxide, commonly referred to as lye. Washing soda is sodium carbonate. (And while we're at it, baking soda or cookingsoda is sodium bicarbonate.) ... Caustic soda is extremely alkaline, enough to cause severe chemical skin burns (it attacks the proteins of the skin).
