The European Union officially announced that it will impose sanctions on Belarusian potash. Most manufacturers have given up offering products this week, awaiting further implementation of sanctions. At present, the market is still digesting these news and analyzing its potential impact on NPKs. But so far, the general consensus is that the price of potash in Europe will definitely rise as a result, and some NPK producers in the EU will inevitably have a shortage of potash. This in turn will push up the production costs of NPK producers and may tighten the supply of NPK.

The global nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium market is still strong, and news of sanctions will only increase market optimism. It is reported that the price of 15-15-15 sold by Phosagro to Brazil is US$485/ton CFR, and the low-to-medium-level price is US$440/ton FOB. Compared with the company's sales to Brazil two weeks ago, the price has risen by $25 per ton. In addition, Acron has sold more than 10,000 tons of 16-16-16 to Southeast Asia at a price of US$510-515/ton CFR. It is reported that its offer two weeks ago was US$460-490/ton.

Raw material prices are still rising. The prices of nitrogen products, phosphate fertilizers, potash fertilizers and ammonia continue to rise, which will push up NPK's production costs.

Brazilian  demand  remained strong throughout August. Buyers will continue to buy, and the strong corn market will support importers to accept higher NPK prices.
