The price of MAP in Brazil soars to US$700/ton CFR
Since October 2011, the price of MAP in Brazil soared to US$700/ton CFR for the first time. The price of MAP reached a high of US$735/ton CFR this week. The price of Nola's MAP also hit a new high, with a market transaction price of US$660/short ton FOB, equivalent to US$720/ton CFR.
The Indian market performed quietly and CFR prices were low. Pakistan's price has stabilized at US$595-600/ton CFR, but there are no new orders to follow up. Due to Bangladesh's tender and tight export supply, the export price of DAP from China has risen to US$555-556/ton FOB, and the quotation has reached US$560/ton FOB China.
The MAP/DAP Market Is Running Well
Before the end of the monsoon season from April to September, India and Pakistan will continue to purchase demand. However, Chinese companies are currently focusing on exporting to Bangladesh and Latin America, and the supply of goods to South Asia and Southeast Asia is decreasing. Procurement demand in Latin America and the United States will support the stable operation of market prices for the time being.
