Black Sea/Baltic Sea:
The standard price of ammonium sulfate rose to US$340-345 per ton of fob Black Sea. This was due to the increase in bid prices and sent a netback signal to Turkey because the price idea rose to around US$410 per ton of fob Turkey. A European importer is seeking 3,000 tons of standard ammonium sulfate from the Black Sea for shipment to Greece from November to December. Traders say that a batch of standard ammonium sulfate from China is scheduled to be shipped in November and shipped to the Baltic Sea. The company declined to comment. Phosagro sold 3,000 tons of pellets at a cost of US$450/ton in Brazil and shipped in November.
Turkey:
The buyer said that the new Korean standard ammonium sulfate cargo will be tax-free in Turkey at a cost of US$410/ton plus freight and will be shipped in November. This shipment has not yet been determined, but compared with the last time South Korea’s ammonium sulfate was sold to Turkey in August, the implied CFR level has risen by US$145 per ton.
Europe:
Standard ammonium sulphate prices have risen and expanded, framed by new sales of 350-440 Euros per ton FOB in Northwest Europe. A trader sold two batches of 3,000 tons of European Standard Ammonium Sulfate at a Northwest Europe FOB price of approximately 350 Euros/ton, which were shipped in November. Among them, 2000 tons are sold at 360 Euros cost and freight in Northwest Europe, and 1,000 tons are sold at Baltic Sea cost and freight 380 Euros. A European manufacturer sells 3000-4000 tons of internal grade standard ammonium sulfate at a price of 440 Euros/ton FOB Northwest Europe, and will ship in November. The goods were sold to an NPK producer in Western Europe.
China:
The price of ammonium sulphate has risen due to the new price of fob (free-on-board price) of US$280 and higher signs of winning the bid. A Chinese manufacturer sold 10,000 tons of standard ammonium sulfate at a price of US$280 per ton fob China, which is US$30 per ton higher than the highest price last week. The manufacturer will combine the tonnage of the goods with other suppliers and ship them to an undisclosed destination outside of Asia. After this transaction, the latest quotation has risen to US$320-350 per ton (fob China), and the price of the goods discussed is the low end of the range. Sinopec will reschedule the bidding for the sale of 15,000 tons-17,000 tons of standard ammonium sulfate on October 22. The particle level rose within a week, in line with the domestic bid price of standard ammonium sulfate. The trader stated that a trader sold 2,000 tons of granular ammonium sulfate (amsul) at a price of US$450 per ton (cfr Brazil), with an estimated net price of US$375-380 per ton (fob China). The main destination of China's ammonium sulfate exports is Brazil. Brazil received 1.9 million tons during this period, an increase of 37% over the same period last year.
Sri Lanka:
The Sri Lankan buyer, China Investment Corporation, has bid for the purchase of 60,000 tons of standard ammonium sulfate for shipment from November to December, and a credit period of 180 days is required. Traders said that the quotations of different batch numbers are between 460-540 US dollars per ton cfr.
South Korea:
From January to September 2021, ammonium sulfate exports totaled 454,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 40%.
Brazil:
Affected by the latest sales data and signs of rising cargo quotations in November, the price of granular ammonium sulfate (cfr Brazil) rose to US$450-490 per ton. A Brazilian importer bought 5,000 tons of granular ammonium sulphate at a price of USD 450/ton cfr Brazil and shipped it in November. Later this week, the price of China's granular ammonium sulfate rose to 490-500 US dollars per ton. The new tonnage is limited, and ships with idle ships can provide opportunities.
