India's DAP prices fell sharply this week, with NFL buying Russian products at $577-578 per ton cfr, below $590-614 per ton cfr. China's DAP price follows the market, with a lower quotation of 570 USD/ton FOB. 12000 tons of DAP may be shipped to Thailand and ultimately traded at an FOB price of $580-585 per ton.
A Pakistani importer may have imported 25000 tons of Saudi Arabian DAP for shipment in the second half of April. However, the enthusiasm for continuing to import with high domestic inventory is not high.
Earlier this week, the price of 10000 tons of Russian MAP in Brazil was US $635 cfr per ton, but the price in Brazil quickly fell from this level. There were reports that the sales price was US $600-610 cfr per ton.
In the United States, Mosaic has lowered its DAP/MAP offer to $610 per ton FOB Tampa. Demand in Europe remains sluggish due to rainfall in the northwest region hindering market activity, but buying enthusiasm is expected to rebound in April.
Weak overall demand performance
Due to limited purchasing pressure in major import markets, international prices are expected to continue to decline over time. The industry expects demand to emerge at the end of spring.
