The phosphate market of Suez East and West operated differently, dominated by the rise of MAP price in Brazil.

The MAP price in Brazil increased by $10 to $450- $460 per ton, with sales of Russian products at the high end and Chinese products at the low end in August. Argentina's DAP/MAP has also increased from $460-465/ton/cfr last week to $475-480/ton/cfr.

The prices of calcium superphosphate and heavy calcium in Brazil stabilized this week, in line with the MAP trend, with 19% of SSP rising to $170-190/ton cfr and TSP rising to $370-375/ton cfr. In the east of Suez,, the price of DAP fell by 3 dollars to 437 dollars per ton (cfr India) after an importer purchased 50000 tons of Chinese DAP for fast loading. GSFC concluded the bidding on July 10th, with a possible minimum quotation of around $440 per ton CIF.

DAP prices in Europe are stable generally. Some suppliers have tightened their supply, and Jordan's DAP signed more contracts with the United States in August.

Strong of MAP, weak market of DAP

Driven by demand from Brazil, the price of MAP in Latin America will rise in the coming weeks. The rise of MAP will continue until August, but as the fourth quarter approaches, the rise of MAP will slow down. India's DAP inventory is high, and although imports continue, buyers will continue to hold down the arrival of DAP.
