The price in Brazil rose this week, pushing the MAP price to 630-640 US dollars/ton cfr, while India's purchase intention was weak this week.
The price of 26000 tons of Russian MAP shipped to Brazil in January was 625-630 US dollars/ton cfr. Argentina also responded to its purchase interest, and the DAP/MAP quotation was USD 650-660/t cfr. In the east of Suez, the DAP price in China remains at 700-705 USD/t fob. Since last week, there has been no news of DAP sales to India. Due to the scarcity of market activities, the price of DAP in India fell to 720-725 dollars/ton cfr from 725-730 dollars/ton cfr last week. RCF, an Indian fertilizer manufacturer, did not receive any quotation in the 50000 ton DAP bidding on December 13. Pakistan's import demand is still stagnant.
Elsewhere, the transaction price of DAP in the United States fell, while the buying interest in Europe has basically disappeared.
Prices in Latin America are firm, while those in other regions are weak
With the weakening of Indian demand, the international price of DAP is expected to continue to decline, and the price difference with MAP will narrow, especially in the Latin American market. The purchase volume in Europe is expected to recover in 2023, but with the price falling, importers may delay the purchase as much as possible.
