The Ministry of Agriculture of Sri Lanka has issued a tender for the purchase of 5,000 tons of TSP (bag).
The tender ended on November 5 and was requested to be delivered to Colombo along with other fertilizers in January.
According to the latest data from IFA, Sri Lanka is a temporary TSP buyer with an import volume of 85,000 tons in 2018.
The government recently announced that private sector TSP imports that would benefit from subsidies will be subject to a maximum price of $297.98/ton cfr in the fourth quarter.
The lowest TSP quote in Sri Lanka's latest tender (ending on June 4th) is the Chinese product produced by trading company Golden Barley at a price of $302.50/tonne CFR, including a 180-day letter of credit.
