In India, Fact first sought a NPK 16-16-16, and has issued a tender for25,000 tons. RCF abandoned the 50,000-ton 20-20-0+13S tender on March 19, while the GSFC tendered for 50,000 tons of 20-20-0+13S on March 25. And Agrifield won the bid at the price of CFR $320/ton with a 180-day credit period.

In Kenya, KTDA is currently evaluating all financial quotations submitted in its 26-5-5 tender. Unconfirmed reports indicate that Mekatrade/Uralchem submitted the lowest offer at CFR $305/ton. At the same time, the Kenyan Ministry of Agriculture has postponed the deadline for tenders for various fertilizer purchases from April 9 to April 16. Elsewhere in Africa, there are reports that Intercoton of Côte d'Ivoire intends to change the commonly used 15-15-15+S+B to 14-18-18+S+B in the annual procurement tender later this year.

Market driver

1. Consumption in Southeast Asia will decline this year.

Dry weather in Southeast Asia continues to delay demand and narrow the demand. Therefore, it is estimated that the total fertilizer consumption in the region will decline this year.

2. Strong urea prices in China may push up NPK prices

The recent rise in urea prices in China has brought pressure on prices for China's NPKs, encouraging some buyers to enter the market.

30 - 60 days prospects

With the ending of spring in Europe and the beginning of demand in Southeast Asia, prices are likely to remain stable.
