The market price of DAP was firm this week, and the market demand was sufficient.
Although China's FOB level has risen to US$345-350/ton FOB (up by US$5/ton), China has not recently sold DAP to India or Pakistan because buyers have imported DAP from other countries.
Indian buyers bought Saudi Arabia and Morocco DAP at the same price last week, and the price rose by only 2-3 US dollars/ton. Pakistan's Fauji bought Moroccan DAP at a price of US$360/ton CFR, which increased by US$2/ton. East Africa purchases 35,000-40,000 tons of DAP from Saudi Arabia at a price of US$370/ton CFR.
West of Suez, the MAP market is generally active. The price of MAP in Brazil rose from US$350-355/ton CFR to US$355/ton CFR. Demand for MAP/DAP in Argentina is emerging, but tight supply has caused the price increase to US$362-370/ton CFR.
The inquiries in the Indian and Pakistani markets are strong, and the upward momentum continues. But now there is a deadline for shipments to meet the demand in the fourth quarter.
