On December 27, India's MMTC urea tender finally issued Awards total 705,000 tons, the detail are as follows:
Midgulf-235,000t at $ 255.20 / t cfr west coast
Surya Global-290,000t at $ 258.48 / t cfr east coast
Muntajat-47,500t at $ 244 / t fob Mesaieed
PIC-40,000t at $ 244 / t fob Sitra
OCI-45,000t at $ 244 / t fob Ruwais
Transglobe-47,500t at $ 255.20 / t cfr west coast
It is estimated that 230,000-250,000 tons will come from the Middle East, of which the Middle east producer will supply 130,000 tons directly, Oman and Saudi Arabia will supply their materials through Midgulf, Surya's 290,000 tons will be shipped via Chinese ports.
According to DBT data statistics, India sold 5.03 million tons in December, higher than 4.4 million tons in December 2018. The increase was due to favorable rainfall and the planting area’s expansion for major crops. For the same reason, the sales are expected to reach 4.5 million tons in January. India’s urea output also increased in December. The plant’s monthly output was 2.24 million tons, higher than the 2.13 million tons in December 2018. Due to high sales volume, the inventory fell to 328,000 tons.
