The price increase slowed down this week, the main markets rose a few dollars.
The biggest increase was China, it rose from US$530-563/ton FOB to US$565-570/ton FOB,it concentrated in Southeast Asia and Latin America. Despite the low stocks, India and Pakistan have no new orders to follow up.
West of Suez, the price in northwestern Europe diverged, and demand in Germany was slow. The price reached US$550/ton FCA, while the price of Benelux was US$590/ton FCA Gent. In Russia is US$620-625/ton CFR Brazil, while the price last week was US$615-620/ton CFR. After the fall in February, the US price strengthened again, and the CFR equivalent calculation showed that it exceeded the price of Brazil.
Phosphate prices have slowed down, the international market supply remains tight. The announcement of India will clarify the price direction from April.
