Phosphate prices rebounded this week. The heavy rainfall in India and Southeast Asia has supported the demand for DAP, while Brazil continues to seek MAP goods. But the supply of goods is tight, and many manufacturers have sold out their immediate goods.

The DAP price in India increased by $47.50 in the middle of this week to $490-500 per ton, with the highest quote reaching $550 per ton CIF.

Due to the continuous rise in prices in both domestic and export markets, Chinese suppliers have suspended their quotations. Bangladesh has accepted a private sector tender on July 27th, increasing the tight supply of DAP to China.

The MAP price in Brazil has risen, influenced by Russian products, rising by $20/ton to $490-500/ton cfr. The CIF price of DAP/MAP in Argentina has increased to $510-525 per ton cfr.

Nordic demand is recovering, and suppliers have raised prices, pushing the DAP of Benelux to $569-580 per ton.

In the United States, the prices of Nora DAP and MAP barges are $33/ton and $30/ton respectively higher than a week ago, with MAP bidding $82-90/ton higher than DAP.

30-60 day forecast

DAP prices are expected to continue to rise in August. Indian importers continue to seek goods, while Pakistan may soon return to the market due to insufficient stock in the international diammonium market. The tight supply will also support MAP prices in the western region.
