The price of standard ammonium sulfate has slightly decreased this week to $150-160 per ton FOB. Due to the continued weak demand for squeezed particles, prices in the north are at a relatively low level.

Incofe, a Central American importer, has released a bid to purchase 12850 tons of standard caprolactam grade ammonium sulfate and 6950 tons of caprolactam grade ammonium sulfate between September 20th and October 5th. Importers are likely to purchase goods from China. A trader provided Sri Lanka with 2000 tons of standard ammonium sulfate, which was shipped in containers at a cost of $195 per ton in September. Another trader provided Pakistan with 3000 tons of standard ammonium sulfate containers at a FOB China price of 160 US dollars per ton for shipment in September.

Koch Corporation released a freight inquiry this week, requiring 60000 tons of bulk ammonium sulfate to be loaded from Longkou, Xiuyu, or Tianjin ports to Santos and Paranagua ports between September 15th and 30th. The price of MMA grade ammonium sulfate is shown this week at $135-140 per ton FOB China. No transaction was reached.

According to the latest market signs, the price of extruded and granular caprolactam grade ammonium sulfate stabilized at $175-185 per ton FOB China this week. But the offshore price of extruded ammonium sulfate particles this week is generally below $150/ton, and the trading price of 5000 tons in the north is between $145- $150/ton, which will be shipped to Brazil in September. Due to limited demand from Brazilian importers this week, squeezed particles have stopped picking in the past two to three weeks and have accumulated higher inventory pressure, leading to a decrease in quotation levels.
