Black Sea/Baltic Sea:

Export supplies from the Baltic and Black Seas are limited, with most suppliers committing to August and September. This includes Russian suppliers, who have reportedly delivered August-September tonnage to the domestic market, increasing demand to use it as a raw material. There is a freight enquiry for 5,000 tons of ammonium sulphate to be shipped from Rostov, Russia to Dilovasi, Turkey at the end of August.

Europe:

Standard ammonium sulphate prices narrowed due to lower quotation levels in Northwest Europe, but rose on a US dollar basis due to a stronger euro. Suppliers said there were still traders bidding for low-end iron ore destined for eastern Mediterranean ports. Pellet fertilizer prices rose to $615-662/tonne fob in Northwest Europe, with market sentiment improving amid rising nitrogen prices in Europe and tight supply of pellets.

China:

Standard ammonium sulfate prices softened to $185-200/ton (fob China), hitting a two-week low due to weak demand in major export markets. There are two standard large-scale sales reports this week. A supplier in the north sold 20,000 tons of standard ammonium sulfate at $190 per ton FOB for shipment in September. Another sale of 5,000-10,000 tons was sold at $200 per ton, fob China, for shipment from southern China in August. Standard parts are quoted in the range of US$190-200/t FOB China, with lower quotations in northern China and higher quotations in southern China. There is no specific quotation for ammonium sulfate. Granular and compact ammonium sulfate prices fell to $220-300 per tonne (fob China), driven by weak buying interest in Brazil and lower Chinese purchases.
